I LOVE this album AND the graphic! ('Six-Pack' is especially fun what with the sound of beer cans opening!)
I was recently at a bar/restaurant on the waterfront in Santa Barbara California that featured the poster and an article about this movie. From what I could tell one of the kids in this 60's documentary is now a partner in the place...I'm not sure but I don't think it was one of the three leads...
Thanks, Rocket, for the music and the story. So evocative of a very special time of innocence and trust, now sadly gone from most of the planet. You brought it back...
Once again I'm forced to remove a 'rude' comment from the same 'Anonymous' joker. I really wish he would just make like the wind and blow! People like that really grab my goat. At least once a week I have to put up with him stopping by to leave a disparaging remark about me and/or this blog. It really makes me stop and wonder about people...
(I think I might soon be going 'private' again folks. If I do I'll make sure to leave a list or something so people who want to can still grab this 'old crappy' music.)
Wherever you go, my friend, I would certainly like to tag along. The only advice that seems to work with jerks is to ignore them. Life's too short. Hang on in...
Thank Rocket! I saw this movie a couple of months ago on TCM when they dedicated a week to surf/sand movies. It was fantastic. They also showed Brown's first movie (I can't remember the name) which he took from college to college to get exposure before he finally got a limited theatrical run. You can thank designer John Van Hamersveld for the album and movie poster graphics. So simple yet very effective.
I love catching this movie whenever it's on, and the music is always just as cool as the first time, so thanks, RM! And I, too, would like to follow should you privatize this place. I'm with iggy, just ignore the jerks who are ignorant and jealous. Keep on keepin' on...
@ HUS - That's odd I checked and it was there for me. Anyway, here's a link to that track:

@ Iggy/Yggi & DonHo57 - Thanks for the kind words. Just to give an idea of what I'm talking about....there were just 3 more rude, obnoxious comments from 'Anonymous' people belittling this place that I completely deleted.
I just don't get it. I know it's for the best to ignore jokers like that but...It just galls me that ingrates like that are out there and decide to rain on other's parades just for the fun of it. I've seen this type of behavior at other blogs (including my previous one) and like I've said before it's usually only a matter of time until it spirals out of control into negative depravity and childish name calling...I hope not but we shall see. It's probably stupid of me to even comment about it here....Okay! That's it! From now on I'll just remove the negative, offensive items and NOT even mention them.
Way to hang in there, my friend. There is a segment of society that "ain't happy unless they ain't happy" as my Pappy used to say. We can all just let them go their own way without bothering the real world. Good Sunday to you.
