A swinging jazz album that reminds me of Mancini in spots!
Back in the 80's, while I was in college, I used to work at a restaurant in NYC that had some pretty prominent jazz artists play there...mostly piano and bass, sometimes a small trio. Ralph Burns would come in occasionally to hear certain friends. He was a very nice guy. Always had a smile on his face. Was a pretty decent tipper too!
I just wish I knew more about music back then and appreciated some of the people I had a chance to meet...oh well, what do they say? 'youth is wasted on the young...'? yup. guilty as charged.
