In light of recent events concerning the U.S. Marine Corps I believe the helmet says it all. Has the entire world gone crazy or what? Have we all forgotten just how truly insane war and EVERYTHING about it actually is?
I believe Kubrick in all his genius really came close to illustrating that condition with this film. Who could ever forget the brilliantly haunting ending?
