I love this film! In my opinion it's a great one...very powerful in it's simplicity. ..and the score is one of my favorites. ( whenever I'm in the mood for some homespun 'Americama' I put this one and 'Cool Hand Luke' on...they make for a good double feature soundfest)
Hi Rocket, Thanks for sharing this great album. I first saw the movie when it came out, back in the late summer of 1963. I believe the Plymouth station wagon that Homer Smith drives is a 1959 model.

Sidney Poitier was marvellous. I love his early films the most. Goldsmith's score is light-hearted and folksy but has depth.
