Here are the themes to the 'Paul Henning Triptych Masterpiece' (as I like to call it)...As a kid I always appreciated the Sam Drucker character's easy going, laid back common sense approach to things.

  2. Very nice tribute.
His store was between Kate's Hotel & The Douglas farm, right?
My favorite bit was when Sam was talking on the phone while Mr. Kimble was in the store thinking Sam was talking to him.
    Hillarious!

  3. I believe it was Doug...not too far from the train depot. My favorite resident of Hooterville would probably have to be County Agent Kimble. For some reason I always loved that guy.

  4. My favorite was Drucker loosing his hairpiece in the store's pickle barrel. He fished it out and put it back on top of his head, but the pickle juices made the hair smoke and disintegrate.
Who best to be there to describe to Sam what was happening?
You betcha, Rocket! Our favorite County Agent, Hank Kimble.
    "Not quite a fire, Sam...more like a"

  5. He also was in "The Bad Seed" as Henry Daigle, husband to Hortense Daigle, played wonderfully by Eileen Heckart.

I gotta admit, Rocket, I thought Frank Cady was gone a long while back.
Seriously, he seemed like an old guy in the '60's.

  6. That's EXACTLY what I thought Riz! I was really surprised when I heard about his passing on the radio.

  7. Hi Rocket,
This is a great tribute to Frank Cady. In addition to the shows produced by Paul Henning, Frank Cady also played the character "Doc" on the "Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet".
