Before the rock band Kiss ever thought of hiding their identities w/ make-up there were...The Banana Splits! Hanna-Barbera's answer to Sid & Marty Krofft. Where are they today? (My guess? Probably hanging around in a closet, moth eaten shells of their former selves...)
Thanks Rocket. I used to watch the Banana Splits even though I was really too old. Each episode included a filmed continuing storyline about treasure hunters that starred Jan-Michael Vincent. Let us hope the Banana Splits look better than poor Jan-Michael.
A few years back an episode of "Behind the Music" covered the Splits ... alas, poor Fleegle was in rehab and Bingo had been living out of his car for years. Drooper, on the other hand, was doing quite well selling chocolate-covered high schools. No word on Snork.
