another L.A. story...Conrad Janis' Jazz Band used to play at the joint I worked at once a month. on a few occasions George Segal would put down his stogie, pick up a banjo and join them on stage. (it's too bad it was only me and about a dozen other people there to witness it...no one was EVER there!)
