This is one of my favorite albums. Not because I'm the greatest actor in the world. Not because it's the greatest album in the world But because it is unique!
I forgot to mention before that Track #9 features the legendary Fritz Feld as the hotel manager...when I was living in L.A. back in the 80's he came into the restaurant where I was working (as the Maitre d' no less! seriously! this is a true story!!!). He walked up to the station, did his famous 'hand to mouth' 'POP', clicked his heels and said "Young man, table for one please!" As I showed him to a fine table he told me that he had JUST played me in a role earlier that week for the thousandth time! When we arrived at the table he insisted that I show him MY mouth 'POP' technique and then proceeded to give me instructions on how to do it correctly...It was all done in good fun and very sweet...he was a very nice fellow.
I have to wonder if flies ever really appreciate how often we wish we could be them at times. That said,I loved the story too and my wish is that I could have been at the restaurant too, dining on a nice steak at the time. Perhaps if others who wish to have been flies were there too, they could have joined me. Hey, I have been know to share. Just a thought. In any case, Doug, I have to say your blog is the best ( I visit every day) and Rocket, you sure to rock it for me. Thank you for all the wonderful shared. Thanks a Million fellas!!

ReplyDeleteI can just imagine it. Wow. If I could have been a fly on the wall, would have loved seeing that.
